Why subscribe?

Every month, I will be publishing at least one brand new story (or significant chunk of a novella) that falls outside of the boundaries of the speculative/spooky fiction for which I am best known. A lot of this work may be loosely termed “literary” fiction, but as with so much of what I do, it often will fall between or mix or just ignore genre delineations. This is just work I am proud of that I want to get to interested readers, and it provides an ideal opportunity to try out this model.

In addition, I will also be publishing at least free one monthly nonfiction column. Some of these will be about the teaching of writing. Some will be about books or music or films I have loved, and why. There will also be opportunities for subscriber Q&A and discussions, depending on reader interest. Let’s make the most of the medium together.
